One of the most fascinating family-friendly stops in Kansas City is the Steamboat Arabia Museum. It’s like stepping into a real-life time capsule from 1856, filled with thousands of perfectly preserved items that were recovered from a sunken steamboat in the Missouri River. My kids were amazed to see everyday objects from over 160 years ago. Toys, clothes, tools, even food jars still sealed! As a mom, I love places that make history come alive for kids, and this museum does exactly that. Definitely a must-visit if you’re looking for educational and fun things to do in Kansas City with kids.
