this is possibly one of my new favrorite trail runs in colorado! about 6.5 miles and 1700 ft. of gain was the route we chose, starting at the amphitheater, and running for about 1.5 hours was the perfect activity for us! the trail is well marked but bring a map or download one to make sure you have the route (it definitely gets windy!). loved running this and would recommend as a unique trail here that circles downtown passing waterfalls, mining spots, amazing mountain views, and more! if you’re a fellow trail runner just remember that this is a popular trail for hikers and walkers too, so be respectful! & always LNT!
