Step into the stories of early Texas at the Tomball Museum Center This collection of historic buildings shows how life once looked in small-town Texas, with immersive guided tours full of quirky, surprising details 🏡 walk through the Pilot House 🛏️ spot antique furniture, chamber pots, and hand-sewn linens 🏫 sit at tiny desks in the one-room schoolhouse ⛪ restored Lutheran church still used for weddings 🐔barn and farmhouse filled with old tools and kitchen gadgets 🪵 early settler-style log cabins and vintage oil camp homes Tours take about 2 hours ⏰ Limited open hours Even if it’s not open for tours you can still go and wander the grounds and see the exteriors of many of these buildings *We always check for who built historic homes to make sure it wasn’t on the backs of enslaved people. In this case, while we don’t have full records, the home was built by a German family and many German immigrants in Texas were known to oppose slavery
