Here’s what’s new at the 2nd annual Christkindl Markt at the Downtown Market in Grand Rapids! 🛍️ More shopping than before! This year there are 60 booths with 2 of them rotating pop up vendors. Head to christkindlmarktgr.com for the complete list of vendors! 🌭 Interspersed among the booths selling gifts are more food vendors than ever before! Enjoy delicious Euro-centric food offerings like pierogies, frites, and hot pretzels. 🧀 Yes, a Christkindl Markt favorite - Raclette is back! (Aka Stinky cheese!) In fact, there are TWO booths selling raclette to choose from! 🍷 There are more beverage options than before! 🇩🇪Stop into the German-Style Beverage Hall (or the 2 outdoor beverage booths) for gluhwein or Dunk the Halls beer by Brewery Vivant (brewed exclusively for the Christmindl Markt). 🇫🇷Or mosey upstairs into the greenhouse for a French take and indulge in champagne, sparkling wine, or egg nog. 🍺 New mugs & cups! There are new custom cups - 4 different varieties based on which drink you order. Bring your mugs back for refill prices (you can even use last years mugs too!) 👦🏽 Non-alcoholic beverage options include hot cocoa, hot cider, and hot kinderpunsch- all available in the German hall and outdoor booths. 🎅🧑🎄 If you visit on Sunday, between 12-4pm, Santa & Mrs Claus will be around for photos! 🌐 Also new this year are the 6 massive and beautifully crafted Alpenglobes available by reservation only. Each seat up to 8 people and come with Bluetooth speakers and 2 heaters. 🥌 There are now double the number of curling sheets! These also need to be reserved in advance and each can accommodate up to 8 people. 🅿️ Street parking is available. We used the McConnell/Ionia lot which cost us $3 for 3 hours & is right across from the market. But the Downtown Market has its own lot for $25. 🎁Which new feature are you most excited about this year? For me, I personally loved the added Bubbles Bar upstairs!
