A great way to see the nature around is at the Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Center. It’s a bit further than most attractions in Baton Rouge but it’s affordable ($3) and a great way to see the swamps! There are several trails that wind through the trees with lots of shade as well as through the swamp. There’s also an education center with reptiles, books, and a huge wildflower center next to it where we saw these gorgeous yellow flowers in October.
