One of my all-time favorite trails in North Carolina and itβs right off the Blue Ridge Parkway β€΅οΈ πBlack Balsam Knob / Art Loeb Trail β’Located down a turn right, directly off the Blue Ridge Parkway, and part of the Pisgah National Forest! Youβll be surrounded by layers and layers of mountains every which way you look! If you hike it in early summer, youβll also be greeted with stunning wildflowers. Needless to say, I lost count of the amount of times I exclaimed βwowβ along this trail! π₯Ύ ππ¨π°, π₯ππβπ¬ π ππ ππ¨π°π§ ππ¨ ππ‘π πππππ’π₯π¬ > ππ‘ππ«πβπ¬ π πππ° π¨π©ππ’π¨π§π¬ ππ¨ π‘π’π€π ππ‘π’π¬ ππ«ππ’π₯: β’To Black Balsam Knob and back: -1.4 miles, round-trip and rated βmoderateβ on AllTrails β’Hike to Black Balsam Knob and continue further along the Art Loeb Trail (for as long as youβd like or are able to). -We went about 7 miles (one way; so ~14 in total) on the Art Loeb Trail and thatβs where we saw some of my favorite, panoramic views! -In total, the Art Loeb Trail is about 29.3 miles (one way) and rated βhardβ on AllTrails.
