One of the most beautiful hikes on the road to Milford Sound is the track to Gertrude Saddle. A brief, yet steep route that takes you up granite slabs to a spectacular view of Milford Sound and the Tasman Sea. Always look at the trail reports before attempting this hike, and never go in inclement weather.
