What we love about Ilha Grande, is that you can still find secluded beaches that offer tranquility and soft sands under Brazil’s uplifting sun (at least during low season). One of these beaches is Palma Beach, where we were staying in a cozy pousada with amazing views. Pousada Toca do Mar is definitely a hidden gem in Angra Dos Reis. Electricity runs from generators that are only in operation at night; during the day, it’s lights out. It really adds up to the feeling of island life.
