On the full moon every November, Thailand celebrates “Loy Krathong”. The water and light festival honouring the Water Goddess, thanking her for her gifts. It is a time to ask her to wash away negativity and bring in new positive starts. It’s a beautiful age-old tradition. On this night communities come together to make banana leaf baskets, adorned with flowers, incense and candles to be offered to the rivers and canals throughout Thailand. It is a magical evening.
