There is no way to talk about Alto da Sé without mentioning the Cathedral of São Salvador do Mundo, also known as Catedral da Sé. It is the most famous and visited architectural landmark in Olinda and the largest 16th century church in Brazil. It is a very old cathedral (the second oldest religious building of Pernambuco) and we loved admiring the Renaissance and Baroque features.
