Slightly overrated food and valet parking is pretty much required but the setting is hard to beat in terms of dining in greater LA. And that’s the draw, the decor/vibe/setting. The Kafta Tagine isn’t a true Moroccan-style tagine [in that it’s not slow cooked in a tagine for hours and hours, it’s just served in a tagine] but it is a fair dish that was tasty enough for a brunch visit. The espresso waffle was all espresso and very little chocolate but still fine. The ❤️ raspberry and lavender 💜 lemonade 🍋 on the other hand, that I would drive hours and hours for!! Best thing at Café on 27.
