This route is the shortest way to reach the summit. Everyday more than 20,000 people hike in Bukhansan mountain to escape from the city. Seoul Mountain Hike with a Folklorist: Temples & Korean Meal

This hike starts at Gupabal Station and climbs through pine forest and mountain passes to a handful of Buddhist temples with roots in Korea's shamanic traditions. Along the way you'll hear about the monks who lived here, the spirits believed to still watch over the peaks, and a few ghost stories locals still tell about these mountains after dark. The hike ends the way Koreans traditionally end one: with hasanju, a meal and a drink at a mountainside restaurant once you're back down. Choose between chicken stew with mountain roots and vegetables or a vegetarian bibimbap, paired with makgeolli, beer, or something non-alcoholic if you'd rather skip the drink. ✅ Small group | ✅ Moderate difficulty | ✅ Expert host

Seoul: Small Group Cheorwon DMZ Tour with Lunch

Most DMZ tours stop at Paju. This one goes deeper — to Cheorwon, where the Korean War burned the hottest. Cheorwon sits at the edge of one of the world's last remaining Cold War frontlines. Few travelers make it here. We keep our groups small on purpose, so you get closer access, a more personal experience with your guide, and the space to let this place actually sink in. What You'll Experience Descend into the 2nd Infiltration Tunnel — dug through solid granite by North Korea and discovered in 1975. Then head to the observation deck for an unobstructed view straight into North Korea. Sit down for a healthy Korean lunch — seasonal vegetable bibimbap, naturally plant-based and vegan-friendly. End the day on the Han-tan River Y-shaped suspension bridge — 410 meters long, Korea's longest — with the gorge and river spread out below. Passport required for all DMZ tours. Tours operate rain or shine. DMZ access is subject to military regulations and may change without notice.
