You'll encounter a host farmer passionate about the countryside, a herd of (slightly wild!) Highland ponies and a flock of (very friendly) Shetland sheep. Depending on the weather, the hiking experience in this wild landscape can range from challenging (i.e. wet and muddy...) to mysterious (i.e. misty...) to stunning (when the sun is shining!).
