We will leave from the nautical club of Avola, crossing the Lido di Noto We will arrive at the Vendicari Nature Reserve. We will stop to swim close to the beaches of Eloro, Marianelli and Calamosche getting as close as possible to show you and explain the history of the trap. Next we will move in front of Marzamemi, above the underwater museum where there are 3 columns of Roman times lying on the seabed, about 7 meters deep. We provide everyone with fins and masks to do some snorkeling. Then we will reach Portopalo di Capopassero where you can admire the Tafuri Castle, the Spanish Fortress and the Tonnara. We will stop to swim, and admire the beauty of the place. Departure from Avola, southbound, first stop at the White Rocks of Lido di Noto; you will enter the Vendicari Nature Reserve for a swim in front of the beach of Calamosche; the tour will continue in the heart of the reserve to admire the Vendicari tuna trap and make a stop in front of the white beach behind the island of Vendicari. You can then observe the 4 Roman columns that are located about 5 meters deep near Marzamemi. Sicily Boats provides all participants with snorkeling equipment, i.e. fins, masks and snorkel.
