We make a stop at the highest point in the mountains, offering a magnificent panoramic view of Mojacar, Turre, Los Gallardos, and of course, the sea. This is where the sun rises between the mountains. Another highlight of the tour is crossing a dry riverbed, which has gradually carved its way deeper into the mountain over thousands of years, now resembling a canyon. Before that, however, everyone has the opportunity to see for themselves, on a short detour into a side arm of the canyon, how easily one can sink in on foot. In the riverbed, the guide must demonstrate all of his skills to ensure that the Jeep does not sink into the gravel.
