Your adventure begins in the village of Kyzart, the main gateway to Son-Kul Lake, located approximately a 5-hour drive from Bishkek. We can also arrange an optional transfer from Bishkek to Kyzart for your convenience. After lunch, you’ll set off on horseback towards the stunning Son-Kul Lake. Each day includes around 4 hours of horseback riding, allowing you to enjoy the spectacular mountain scenery at a relaxed and comfortable pace.
Son-Kul Lake is a stunning alpine lake located at an altitude of 3,016 meters in the heart of Kyrgyzstan. Surrounded by rolling green pastures and snow-capped mountains, During summer, nomadic herders bring their livestock here to graze, living in traditional yurts that dot the lakeshore. The lake freezes completely from November to May, creating a dramatic, icy landscape. Son-Kul is also home to diverse birdlife, including cranes and golden eagles, making it a paradise for nature lovers and photographers alike.
