Story: One of the most naturally stunning national parks that is a few hours east of Almaty. The scale blew my mind and the local guides know the best spots go to. You can’t access this location without a 4x4 so hiring a guide is 100% recommended.

Story: 3 hours outside of the main city of Almaty is this stunning natural canyon. I went on a day trip with a local tour guide and driver and this was WORTH IT. Don’t miss this as it was the highlight of my trip.

Story: Tourists know this location as Big Almaty Lake and this glacier fed lake has amazing blue water. This is a MUST visit as its only 1 hour from the city centre of Almaty and the drive up into the mountains is also just as stunning.
