This area of England impressed me so much that I wanted to show others what is has offer and only 25 mins drive from Brighton. This tour has flexibility and a relaxed feel about it and will be a day where you can unwind and enjoy being driven to all the hidden spots on the coast that other tours wont venture. Glider Plane Tour of the Jurassic Coast

Flying above the Jurassic Coastline in a motorglider is a truly unique experience. Our aircraft it is both very quiet and comfortable and offers unrivalled visibility making it perfect for taking aerial photographs of all the attractions along the beautiful South Coast Motorgliders by there nature are extremely safe aircraft to fly in as with their long wings they can glide very efficiently without the engine running. Your 1 hour trip will give you ample opportunity to see the cliffs and beaches along the coast as well as the chance to handle the controls and fly the motorglider if you wish. As your pilot is a fully qualified flying Instructor you will be able to receive some tuition on handling the controls of the aircraft and possibly flying us back to the airfield yourself.

Gliding Experience in Devon

Totally unique experience offered with this trip. Take off and climb away using our 80hp Rotax engine and upon reaching 1 mile above sea level we will slowly reduce power and allow the engine to gently cool down. After about a minute of cooling we will stop the engine completely and become a proper glider with a glide ratio of 24 to 1. This should give us 15-20 minutes of silent engineless flight or more if we can find some thermals and go soaring with the birds.

Devon Coast Tour

This unique coastal tour starts with pick up at your accommodation. It embraces this stunning diverse, coastline. We travel to one of the most spectaculer views in the South West, that of Burgh Island and the famous Burgh Island Hotel with its beach causeway and unique sea tractor. Onto Slapton Sands and "Slapton Ley" a stretch of water kept immune from the sea by a slim shingle causeway. Learn about its dark secret from World War II and be mesmerised by over 3 x miles of beach. Learn how we are trying to defend our small local communities form ever rising sea levels and how ultimately there will probably be only one winner. World War II Heritage Tour

"Probably the most militarised county in WWII", some 1.5 million GI's were stationed in the county of Devon. The north and south coasts of Devon were used extensively to both house the GI's and enable them to practice amphibious landings before the Normandy landings. This includes the notorious Slapton sands, one of the US military's darkest secrets of WWII. Focussing on the south coast, in addition to Slapton we'll visit Plymouth, where some 36,000 GI's departed. Plymouth is said to be the most bombed city in WWII (per sq mile) more than London and Coventry and is still the largest naval dockyard in Western Europe. Down the coast the picturesque coastal town of Dartmouth is home to two stunningly preserved castles at the mouth of the River Dart as well as Britannia Naval College, home to US naval command and where Queen Elizabeth first set eyes on the Duke of Edinburgh. Finally Brixham, now Englands' biggest fishing port with some of the best preserved naval gun batteries of WWII.
