We'll set sail in our Sea Ray boat 75 minutes before sunrise and will journey south along the Intracoastal Waterway toward Ponce Inlet and our destination on the Atlantic Ocean. In the serene darkness before dawn, the lights of elegant waterfront homes and bridges will guide our way, giving way to stunning orange hues over the horizon as we approach the Inlet. Once there, we'll follow the jetty for about a mile out into the ocean, pausing to watch the sun rise over the horizon. When I'm not in the freshwater and want to head to the beach, this is one of my new favorite places to go! We will paddle the North Indian River Lagoon looking for all kinds of wildlife. The most common we see are the dolphins, aquatic birds, sting rays, and sea turtles with the occasional appearance of a manatee or two. We may stop at one of the Islands to stretch our legs and play in the water along the way (please bring water shoes if you want to get in the water). We paddle about 1.5 miles and the tour starts and ends in the same location.
