Abruzzo wine tasting & winery visit

I'm a native of Teramo, one of the most important wine areas in Abruzzo. I'm a wine & food lover and I'm increasing my culture and knowledge attending a 3y Sommelier course at the Italian Sommelier Federation (FIS). On all the FIS events, I'm able to invite my guest to join exclusive tastings, as well as having personal connections with most of the wineries in Abruzzo, allowing me to have a better treatment for our guests. As well as being an official Tour Leader recognised by the Abruzzo Region, I found Experience BellaVita, a company that promotes sustainable tourism experiences in the less touristic areas of Italy, in Abruzzo. I and my colleague & friend Alberto, we run together the experiences that I designed over the years. He has my same qualifications and the same passion for Abruzzo and our wines. 1 of 5* reviews Marino was really knowledgeable, super friendly and went out of his way to make sure we had a nice time. We can't recommend him highly enough.

One day cheese making and tasting experience

I was born and raised in these places, my ancestors already lived here as did the family that owns the farmhouse that hosts us. Over the years we have carried out agricultural activities that have expanded rural knowledge. The profession of hiking guide has taught me how to best narrate my territory. A day as a Shepherd is an immersion in uncontaminated places and with boundless landscapes, full of ancient and authentic history. It will be possible to rediscover flavors and sensations that are now far from everyday life. Making a cheese with your own hands and with the milk milked from the animals that live a few meters away strengthens the relationship with the territory and the experience, from which you can also take home the piece of cheese you made!!

You will learn how to create this polenta dish and discover how to transform traditional methods of copper cauldron in modern kitchens while creating a series of authentic and healthy local foods that will satisfy both carnivores and vegetarians, providing a range of opportunities for those who like to take some food photography. You will already have understood that ours is a typical local cicina. We are in the middle of a noble courtyard in the heart of the village, inside the room there is still a very ancient lever press from the 1600s. The Polenta di Pettorano is unique in the Abruzzo region, for the corn flour we use and the artisan workmanship as it once was; mixed an hour and a half in the copper cauldron with the wooden pole, solid and non-liquid consistency is cut into slices by a very thin wire with delicious white sauce called "Rognoso" based on pecorino cheese and fried bacon.
