Punta Gallinas y Cabo de la Vela

Punta Gallinas is the northernmost tip of South America, located at the northern end of the Guajira Peninsula in Colombia, facing the waters of the Caribbean Sea. It is an end of land that goes into the sea in a northwestern direction and closes a set of accidents that make up a bay of the peninsula that runs from Punta Gallinas to Cabo de la Vela or Jepirra (in Wayuu). Between both points are Puerto Bolivar, Bahía Portete and Bahía Honda.
