Ladakh Journey 5
SUMMER SNOW
,
Suddenly Snowy
It was Summer in Ladakh in July 2019.
But the snow was falling down along
the way to Chang La Pass.

I was surprised & afraid because the road is
narrow & in some area we were on the edge
of cliff. But then it become #myfavoritetrips

Leh
Chang La Pass
It’s my route to go back to Leh
after some trips in
Khardung La, Nubra Valley & Pagong Lake.
, ,
,
Honestly we didn’t prepare for the falling
snow. We only wore our wind-proof
jacket. No winter jacket. So cold!
,
,
,
We climbed the mountain again by car,
this time to Chang La Pass (5360 masl)
,
,
We stopped several times.
,
Because of the “traffic jam” in the mountain.
,
The road to Chang La is more narrow
than the road to Khardung La.

Military trucks troupe use this road to go to
Pagong/Nubra for logistics. May be because
this route is more quiet comparing to
Khardung La (which are crowd by tourists).

So imagine we must queue waiting for many
Military trucks in this road while
the snow was falling.

Helping others is Ladakhi’s great attitude
,
And ups......
I had to go out from the car to pee 🤭

,
,
Shortly, we arrived at the Chang La Pass.

Chang La Pass is the 10th highest motorable road
in the world (Devilonwheel)
, ,
Then we went down
to Leh, a city of Ladakh.
