Going-to-the-Sun Road
IMO, one of the prettiest drives in the country - a twisting, mountainous, jaw-dropping route. Stop along the way for short hikes or just to stare in awe; honestly, every turn is a photo op - and no matter how photo's you've alrready seen nothing beats seeing it in person.

Logan Pass on Going-to-the-Sun Road is the highest point you can drive to in Glacier National Park. You can hike the trails from here, like the Hidden Lake Overlook, and you’ll see alpine meadows, wildflowers, and maybe even a mountain goat or two—it’s a peak experience.

The start of a flat and relatively easy hike that welcomes all levels. It takes you to three waterfalls unique and beautiful in their own way Baring Falls, St Mary’s falls (its blue water is amazing) & Virginia Falls

My favorite of the three
See MoreWild Goose Island
The iconic little island in St. Mary Lake you’ve seen in a million postcards, but you too won't resist getting a snap.
See MoreAvalanche Lake
Because I got two big hike reccomendations coming up I wanted to offer a moderately easy trail. The hike to Avalanche winds through a lush forest and pretty streams. When you reach the lake, you’re rewarded with crystal-clear water framed by towering cliffs—a perfect spot to catch your breath and soak in the scenery.

A hidden gem with impossibly turquoise waters that look almost unreal against the rugged cliffs surrounding it. The hike in is a bit of a workout, but once you arrive, the dramatic scenery and peaceful vibes make every step totally worth it.

This alpine paradise was my personal favorite because of what i was able to experience when I was there. I made the hike on June 17th and the ice was not yet fully melted. I watched it detach from the cliffs and fall into the lake creating a deafening sound and wave on the lake's shore. Watching floating ice chunks drifting in the crystal-clear water was too appeling, so i went in for a cold swim to an iceberg and dived off of it. A memory for a lifetime and a hike for which the effort to get there pays off big time!

My last experience of this trip, picnicing by the lake's edge and going on a paddleboard outing, a great way to wrap up this trip
