Howard Johnson by Wyndham Anaheim Hotel & Water Playground
We had such a great stay at the Howard Johnson by Wyndham Anaheim! The location cannot be beat. It’s literally within walking distance to both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, which made it so easy to go back and forth with the kids. The hotel itself was super family-friendly, with a great pool and a kids’ water playground that our little ones absolutely loved. If you’re looking for a convenient, fun, and kid-friendly place to stay near Disneyland, this is an excellent choice.

Discovery Cube
Discovery Cube is such a fun museum for kids! We spent hours here exploring and could’ve easily stayed longer. The interactive exhibits kept the kids fully engaged (and learning without even realizing it). A highlight was the touch tank area, where the kids got to gently pet stingrays and starfish. Bonus tip: They participate in the ASTC Passport Program, so if you already have a membership at another science museum, you may get free or discounted admission here. Overall, it’s an awesome spot for families looking for an educational but super fun outing. We’ll definitely be back!

Loved the Anaheim Packing District! Such good vibes and great food. There’s truly something for everyone to eat. We also enjoyed browsing the cute little shops inside. A fun spot to hang out, grab a bite, and soak up the atmosphere.

There’s nothing quite like walking down Main Street, with characters and the castle in the background—it feels nostalgic and magical, no matter your age. The nighttime parade and fireworks are a must-see.

Disney California Adventure Park
We had such a great time at Disney California Adventure! Our absolute favorite was Cars Land—it feels like you’ve stepped right into Radiator Springs, and Radiator Springs Racers was a highlight for the whole family. Pixar Pier was another favorite, full of energy and fun details everywhere. The boardwalk vibes make it such a fun spot to stroll, grab a snack, and enjoy the rides. And, of course, the Mickey’s Fun Wheel carousel (Pixar Pal-A-Round) is an iconic photo spot—you just can’t go to DCA without snapping a picture there! Overall, the park has such a great mix of immersive lands, rides, and atmosphere. We left with full hearts (and plenty of photos)!

Naples Ristorante E Bar
After a full day of walking through the parks, we stopped at Naples Ristorante in Downtown Disney, and it totally hit the spot! We made it there before the dinner rush, which I highly recommend to avoid a long wait. The pizza was so good—exactly what we needed—and the kids devoured their mac & cheese. The kids’ menu is great, which makes this such an easy, family-friendly option. Definitely a go-to spot for families with little ones in Downtown Disney!

The Scratch Room
We loved our breakfast at The Scratch Room! The portions are huge and absolutely delicious. We were completely stuffed by the end. They even have a kids’ breakfast menu, which made it easy for the whole family. The standout was the banana bread loaf. It was hands down the best banana bread I’ve ever had. Served warm with melted butter, it was melt-in-your-mouth amazing.

Adventure City
Adventure City is such a hidden gem! It’s affordable and absolutely fantastic for kids. My kids were able to do most of the rides on their own, which made them feel so independent. There’s even a small petting zoo, plus train rides, arcades, and more. 🐐🚂 It’s not overwhelming like the bigger theme parks. It’s just a really nice, relaxed outing where the kids had an amazing time. A perfect spot for families with younger children looking for something fun (and budget-friendly!) in Anaheim.
