This is a great spot to start your trip and get a sense of Florida. It is close to the Florida/Alabama border and a super easy stop as you make your way to Pensacola.

Day 2 - Santa Rosa Beach

Grayton Beach State Park
On your way into Santa Rosa Beach, stop here! This is a beautiful state park with pristine white sand beaches and dune trails.

Santa Rosa (or Seaside) is such a cute beach town!! We recommend spending half a day walking around and exploring the shops and restaurants. Our favorite spots are Daytrader and Wild Bill’s Beach Dogs!

Day 3 - Panama City

Shell Island Shuttle
If you do one activity in Panama City, head out to Shell Island either via ferry or private charter. This literally transports you to the Bahamas! If you rent a private charter, book with Salty Pontoons!

Day 4 - Madison Blue Springs

Madison Blue Spring State Park
You have to visit a spring when you are in Florida and this one is one of the best! It is only $5 per car to visit. The water is always 68-72 degrees and you can swim here year round.

Day 6/7 - Sarasota & Siesta Key

Siesta Beach
This leg accounts for 2 days because the drive from Crystal River is a bit far. When you get in, this is a great beach town visit for a half day!

Near Siesta Beach, Ocean Ave boasts a bunch of great restaurants and shops. Definitely spend some time here.

Day 8 - Everglades National Park

Wooten's Everglades Airboat Tours
Start your day here with a morning airboat tour! Everglades NP is huge so today - be strategic and stick to this itinerary to see everything in the park in one day. We recommend a 20-30 minute airboat tour but there are longer ones if interested. If you book here, you can also hold a baby gator!

Shark Valley Visitor Center
Next head to Shark Valley. This is an hour and a half from the main area of the park and is often missed. Bike or take a tram down a 15 mile loop to an incredible overlook.

Ernest F. Coe Visitor Center
After hitting the northern area of the Everglades, drive an hour and a half here. This visitor center is the start of a 30+ mile long road that takes you through the rest of the park. Head inside this visitor center to learn about the park and get trail recommendations.

Day 9/10 - Florida Keys

Robert Is Here Fruit Stand
This stand has hundreds of fruits year round! If you like trying exotic or unique fruits, stop here on your way to the keys.

John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park
The best place to snorkel in the keys! There are a bunch of tours and charters that will take you out here.

A gem in Islamorada - this place has a beautiful beach and a huge dog park if you are traveling with your pup!

Midway Cafe & Coffee Bar
You can’t visit the keys without getting Key Like Pie and this place is supposedly one of the best! It was definitely the best we have ever had!

Surprisingly the Florida Keys do not have a ton of great beaches. If you want a beach say, this park definitely has the best beach in the keys. It also has a great campground right on the water!

A must!!! The best coffee and food - a hack is going for lunch to try their pork sandwich.
