Lady Bird Johnson Grove Trail
Take an easy stroll through some of the old-growth redwoods. When you start the hike, you will be immersed in second-growth trees until you cross over the hiker's bridge. Once you cross you will be among the old-growth redwoods. Only 5% of old-growth trees remain in the National and State Parks.

From October to May the parkway closes on the first Saturday of every month for hikers and bikers to enjoy the views and paths the Newton B. Drury Scenic Parkway offers. There is a fee to enter the park and is a nine-mile walk that is point-to-point.

Fern Canyon offers a stunning visual of color. The canyon wall is covered in five different fern species. The hike is just over a mile from the parking lot and bring some waterproof shoes as you will cross through a creek at ankle height.

This small trail takes you to the Founders Tree. It is a trail that those in wheelchairs or strollers can enjoy as it consists of hard-packed soil and a wooden boardwalk. Founders Grove Nature Loop is in Humboldt Redwoods State Park.

This trail is in the Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park and there is a fee to enter the park. If you park at the visitor’s center and cross the street you will see the trailhead. This trail is a three-mile, out-and-back trail. The Big Tree resides on the trail and is estimated to be 1,500 years old.
