Palmettos On The Bayou
My favorite restaurant in all of Louisiana! It’s a mix of Southern classics with an Italian twist. The restaurant is indoor/outdoor and sits right on the bayou—so you can even arrive by boat! It’s especially nice to sit outside during the cooler months, listening to the crickets and swamp sounds. Oh, and the blue cheese martini? Absolute perfection!

Southside Cafe
A classic Louisiana dive bar and restaurant that’s been a local favorite for 50+ years! They serve an amazing crawfish boil from early March through mid-June—a must if you’re visiting during the season!

Obviously, you have to stop at Café du Monde for beignets and coffee! ☕ I always make a bib out of napkins before diving in because that powdered sugar gets EVERYWHERE.
