The annual Independence Day Parade is one of Fort Mitchell’s most cherished traditions and is one of the largest parades in northern Kentucky. Each July 4th, Dixie Highway fills with color and excitement as local businesses, schools, scout troops, and community groups roll through with creative floats and festive displays. Families set up lawn chairs early to grab the best spots, children wave flags and scramble for candy, and the sound of sirens, marching bands, and laughter fills the air.
