Eifersbacher Wasserfall
Eifersbacher Wasserfall is a serene spot for a peaceful walk and a hidden gem that offers a refreshing escape into nature. Park at the free Eichenhof lot and follow forest and meadow paths to the falls — about 5 to 6 miles round trip — with plenty of opportunities for photography along the way. Visit around midday when the sunlight best hits the falls.

Get ready for a big day of hiking. This is one of the most rewarding hikes directly from St. Johann! The full circular route typically covers ~8.5–9 miles, with ~2,300–2,500 ft of elevation gain, and takes around 5 hours. The trail climbs steadily from town through forest before opening up along the Niederkaiser ridge, with increasingly expansive views over St. Johann and toward the Wilder Kaiser mountains. Trails are well-marked with yellow signage and difficulty ratings. Carry enough water for the full hike.
