Val Federia
You can do fabulous hikes in Val Federia. Hike to the stunning Lac Salin, with its amazing turquoise water. Hike through the green mountain valleys, which give you typical mountain scenery. Through the valley you can walk to Alpe Federia, where you find a cosy chalet, from here you can walk to Ristorante Calcheira. The total distance of this hike is about 12k.

Via Restel
Via Restel is near the centre of Livigno. The path becomes a gravel road along a river that takes you to the lake. Along the way, you will come across all kinds of beautiful viewpoins over the lake. At the end you come to a bridge that takes you to the bistro restaurant, if you are lucky you can also spot donkeys here. Next to the bistro, you will find a mountain path that keeps climbing for more than 5km and eventually comes out at a lake. Along the way, you will come to beautiful views of the lake and the valley. Along the way, you'll come across a fountain and several signposts.

You'll find this viewpoint on the road to Val Federia restaurant. It is the best place to admire the lake and take some pictures. Furthermore, there are also people who jump into the water from here (not recommended).

Lago di Livigno is the absolute highlight of this place. I was in Livigno for 14 days during a training camp and seeing this stunning lake stayed special every day. You can take a fresh dip in the water but it can be a bit cold. 🥶

Madonon is a mountain hut with one of the best panoramic views of the valley of Livigno, the special thing about this mountain hut is that it is located in a rock. You will find a statue of Madonon, the patroness of the mountain. You can reach this point by following an easy and slightly ascending path from Carosello 3000, from Carosello it is another 50 minutes walk.

Hotel Concordia
I was on a 14-day altitude training trip in Livigno with a group of about 10 people. This made us opt for a cabin. But when you are here, with a smaller group for enjoying, hiking or biking I recommend a hotel. The two hotels I listed here were recommended to us by locals and other athletes. Great location!
