Pinehurst Harness Track
Spring Matinee Races at the Pinehurst Harness Track. The track has been a winter training center for Standardbreds since 1915. Baby Standardbreds come from up north to train in Pinehurst during the winter months and their training culminates in the Spring Matinee Races each year, so the young horses have the opportunity to race in front of a crowd. It’s become a fun and unique local tradition.
