The Twisted Apron is my favorite place to go. The poutine was so good as well as the mac n cheese. I have never had a bad dish here.

Main Street Burger and Poutine has some great options. I mean poutine, how can I say no. This was one of the last places we order from before I moved away so this will always hold a special place in my heart.

Walkerville Brewery is a cool place to just relax and drink a beer. We went here often to just hang out, drink good beer and play card games.

Things to See and Do

Riverfront Trail
The Riverfront Trail is a trail that leads from Lincoln Road to the Ambassador Bridge along the Detroit River. From here you can look back into the city of Detroit and the US. It is a 3.1 mi/5 k long trail. Along the path are parks, gardens, and art sculptures. This was one of my favorite places to run in the summer and fall.

Ambassador Bridge
The Ambassador Bridge is the largest suspention bridge in the world. It is also one of two boarder crossings that connect Windsor and Detroit.

Windsor Sculpture Park
The Windsor Sculpture Park sits along the Riverfront Trail. It is something fun to see along your walk or run on the trail.

Dieppe Gardens
Dieppe Gardens sits on the riverfronts biggest plaza. It is a beautiful space to take in the scenery around you, from Detroit across the river to the stunnig blue waters of the river itself.

Jackson Park
Jackson Park is a large and beautiful park just south of Downtown. It offers beautiful gardens and fountains. In the winter around the holiday season they offer a light show. They light the park with all sorts of lights to celebrate the holidays with.

Willistead Manor is a beatuful manor built in 1906. You can tour the manor if youd like. You can also hold events at the manor as well.

Lanspeary Park
Lanspeary Park was a place I visted often as it was along my walking route. It s cute little park in the heart of the Walkerville nieghborhood. They have an outdoor rink that you can walk people all ages play hockey at or those who are there for the open skate. Its a great way to get out and enjoy sotime outdoors.

Lions Outdoor Rink
Lions Outdoor Rink sits in Lanspeary park and is open to the public. Catch a hockey game from a local team or join in on the open skate.

Devonwood Conservation Area
Deavondwood is the perfect little place to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. It sits on the southside of Windsor and offers beautfil walking trails. It's definitely the perfect spot when you feel you just need to explore the quiet, laidack outdoors. It was a favorite place of mine to bike to in the summer.

Malden Park
Malden Park is located on the south-east side of Windsor. It is a great area to take the dog for a hike or just to simply exscape the business of the city. It is also home to the highest hill in Windsor. Malden is the place to go here in Windsor for mountains bikers as well. Please do remember you are in tick country and to tuck your pants into your shoes.
