A compilation of my favorite spots, activities, + food in Ubud Bali. After visiting Ubud very regularly for the last 10 years, I’ve created this trip composed of all of my favorite Ubud places.
Campuhan Ridge Walk
Sunrise hike is a must! There’s even a beautiful river at the bottom. Gorgeous!
See MoreThe Yoga Barn
A Mecca for spiritual people from all over the world. You can find the most unique class offerings and events. I highly recommend the Tibetan bowl meditation and their shamanic breath work workshops. All of their classes are the BEST yoga classes I’ve ever attended. Make sure you arrive early, the spots fill up fast.
See MoreSun Sun Warung
The most delicious local food in a traditional Balinese compound. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu but make sure you order the traditional jamu. A really beautiful way to experience local Balinese Hindu culture.
See MorePura Tirta Empul
Really special experience to partake in Balinese Hinduism at a holy water temple. You can participate in praying by offering offerings to the gods in front of the temple, as well as do the water purification process in the water temple. You can just feel Bali’s magic here.
See MoreCupit BBQ
Balinese owned & absolutely delicious smokey meats. The atmosphere is really cool too, right in the jungle!
See MoreWhy Not Restaurant and Bar
Fun night life in a cool dive bar. Make sure you go on a night that local rock band Unbrocken is playing!
See MoreLaughing Buddha Bar
Another fun night life option that local rock band Unbrocken also plays at. Really good vibes and nice staff!
See MoreKidem Ubud Villas
Make sure to ask for the wooden bungalows (not pictured here) rather yaI could go on and on about Kidem Ubud Villas. I literally plan my monthly trips up to Ubud around when they have availability because I refuse to stay anywhere else. Located in the middle of the rice fields, yet close to everything. The owners are local Balinese and so incredibly welcoming + helpful. They truly make you feel like family. The rooms are individual wooden bungalows with a gorgeous bathroom!

BookBlend Cafe Ubud
The best, most gorgeous smoothie bowls in Bali also delicious Gado Gado.
See MoreSerayu Pottery
This is a wonderful place if you’re a pottery enthusiast or if you’re brand new. The staff is so helpful in teaching you everything you need to know and assisting you the entire time. I’ve been here multiple times and they always help me bring my vision to life, exactly how I want to create something!
See MoreClear Cafe
Such a unique atmosphere offering dishes from regions all around the world. The food is absolutely incredible and the vibe is unbeatable! The wasabi mashed potatoes are out of this world.
See MoreGanesha Bookshop
The cutest corner book store with a wide variety of books (in English and Indonesian). You can also find a ton of books on Balinese, Hindu, Indonesian, local culture. My absolute favorite place to stock up on books and the only spot I’ve found with English books on local culture/traditions. Every time I come, I spend hours in here. They also have really cute, unique small gifts.
See MoreBali Buda Ubud
A delicious cafe with healthy food options + even vegan dishes! They have a huge menu, and even local dishes. There’s also an amazing health foods store attached to the restaurant, where you can stock up on pretty much everything: healthy foods, healthy snacks, toxic-free soaps/shampoo/conditioners/household items, supplements, eco-friendly products… it’s a one stop shop.
See MoreRadiantly Alive Yoga
Another really beautiful yoga studio offering a huge range of classes. A bit quieter and smaller than yoga barn, so I like to come here if Yoga Barn isn’t offering the classes I’m seeking or if their classes are full. Beautiful studio & absolutely love the classes.
See MoreSang Spa and Yoga Centre
I’ve tried maaaany spas in Ubud over the last 11 years of visiting and this is hands down the best. Affordable, yet so professional and feels like a nice spa. I LOVE the seven chakra healing massage with a local healer, using sound healing and crystals during your massage. You get to choose which scent of massage oil you want. Every masseuse I’ve gotten here has been amazing. They have a hot shower in your massage room that you can use after your treatment as well.
See MoreB.Saya
Really unique stay with an absolutely gorgeous view of the rice fields. The most stunning property with ducks walking around trough the rice fields. I stayed here during Nyepi (silence day in Balinese Hindu where the entire island shuts down for the day) and fell in love with this spot. If you’re looking for peace and serenity - this is where you must stay. Beautiful yoga deck and room overlooking the jungle below, as well as a restaurant on site and pool! The rooms are clean and the staff is some of the most friendly people you’ll ever meet.

BookBali Tribal Private Tour - Experience the best of Ubud, Bali
Easily experience the cultural must sees + dos with a guide. Getting around in Bali and knowing the right spots can be very tricky. In order to save yourself time and headache, I always recommend booking a guide and supporting the local community.

BookNoema Greek Restaurant & Bar
If you like Greek food, this spot is a must. Absolutely obsessed with their beef patty pita wrap! The sliced potatoes on top are to die for. And this is saying a lot bc I’m not usually one to gravitate towards Greek restaurants.
See MoreMelali Ubud
Beautiful atmosphere! Best falafel bowl I’ve had in Bali.
See MoreThe Nani
Lovely place to stay away from the business of Ubud. Very clean and tucked in the jungle! Each room has a balcony looking into the jungle. Nice pool to swim in. Restaurant in the bottom of the hotel and in front of the hotel so you can order room service. Highly recommend this if you have a motorbike to get around and want to be further outside of the main streets, in nature.

BookLiyer Spirit House
I didn’t stay here but came to Balinese medicine man Ketut Liyer. If you have seen Eat Pray Love then you know this name. Ketut Liyer has passed away, but his son is carrying on his legacy. I got the palm reading and Melukat (Balinese blessing) for 300k rupiah each. I highly recommend everyone who is visiting in Bali, get a Melukat here.

BookMonkey Cave Espresso Ubud
Super small charming coffee shop right next to Monkey Forest!
See MoreFoci Bakery
Unreal focaccia bread and speciality coffee!!
The sea salt latte is a must try too!
See MorePyramids Of Chi
A must do for anyone looking to deepen their connection to self. Pyramids of Chi offers some yoga classes but I prefer to come here for their healing/meditation classes + the food. The offer classes with technologies that I’ve never seen offered anywhere else before such as Scaler healing + LSV (light sound vibration) meditation. Ancient sound healing + kundalini.. pyramids of Chi is truly next level. I participated in a 2.5 hour Kundalini and sound healing workshop as well as a LSV healing class and has transformative experiences in both. I highly recommend the food as well - the sweet potato gnocchi is the best gnocchi ever!!! Pyramids of Chi is much less crowded than yoga barn and the classes feel intimate. It’s also right by The Nani, if you’re staying there.
