Loaded with routes and a plethora of vantage points, Zion National Park is a feast for the senses
The Zion-Mount Carmel Tunnel
Driving through the tunnel from the East is a trip in itself. Exiting the far end of the tunnel is like entering a portal of pure majesty. Make this drive! Even if you start from the opposite side.
See MoreCanyon Overlook Trail
Great intro to the park accessed from Highway 9 just East of the Mount Carmel tunnel.
See MoreEmerald Pools Trail
Classic desert oasis and easy hike just across from the Zion Lodge.
See MoreCourt of the Patriarchs
One of the most recognized landmarks in the park. Seen easily from the valley floor or get a little closer with a short hike up.
See MoreWalter's Wiggles
The classic switchback enroute to Scout and Angels. Wonderful trail design and an iconic spot seen in many classic photos.
See MoreScout Lookout
The saddle below Angels Landing offers it's own unreal views. Find a private spot in the sun and take it all in. Keep an eye for the California Condors, whose home you're visiting.
See MoreAngels Landing
You've seen the breathtaking Insta posts and most of them don't lie. This spot is epic but it's also unreasonably crowded given the amount of exposure. Try to do it off season if it's dry. A bucket list experience for many.
See MoreObservation Point
This spot rivals the views found anywhere else in the park. A bit of a commitment at 8 miles and 2300 feet elevation gain. Well worth the time though.
See MoreTemple of Sinawava
This beautiful amphitheatre marks the exit of the Virgin River from the majestic canyon upriver known as the Narrows.
See MoreThe Narrows
More popular than ever but the deeper you go, the quieter it gets. Just remember it's an out and back from here. The ultimate Narrows experience is to secure a permit, start at the top (Chamberlain's Ranch) and hike the 15 miles back into the heart of the park—at times through chest deep water. Always know the weather forecast when you're in the river canyons. Flash floods are not uncommon.
See MoreThe Subway
There are many lesser known, or less central canyoneering experiences throughout Zion. The Subway is one of many epic ones. These canyons typically require climbing experience and equipment. Best to hire a guide service to show you all the secret stashes and get you through the other side.
See MoreZion Adventures®
One of many great outfits based just outside the park in Springdale.
