Standing peacefully in the middle of Gozo’s countryside, Ta Pinu basilica is one the islands’s most beautiful landmarks. Its elegant stone façade, tall bell tower and dramatic surroundings make it impossible to miss. Step inside to admire the beautiful decorations and breathtaking view over the surrounding hills.
My favorite place in Gozo, Wied Il-Ghasri is where the true untouched magic of the island comes alive. Hidden between dramatic limestone cliffs, this tiny sea inlet feels like a natural swimming pool carved into the coast. Jump into the crystal-clear water and enjoy floating around for hours with the warm sun on your face. The view from above is just as incredible and a picture-perfect spot.
Wied-il-Mielah is a spectacular limestone formation rising above the deep blue Mediterranean Sea. Walk down to the coast to admire the dramatic arch from below, watch the waves crash against the cliffs. With way fewer coast than other sights, this spot feels like Gozo’s best kept secret.

Rising dramatically from the sea at Dwejra, Fungus Rock is one of Gozo’s most recognizable natural landmarks. Admire the huge limestone rock from the cliffs above and take in the wild Mediterranean landscape surrounding it.
The most underrated cliffs in Malta? I’d say absolutely. Standing before these giant white limestone cliffs, with nothing but endless Mediterranean views in front of you, feels completely unreal. Much wilder and more peaceful than Malta’s famous cliffs.
