Dr. Loukoumaa
Loukoumades are Greek donuts, fried and dipped in honey. They are so different than anything you've had before and if you want to sample them, this spot is one of the contenders for best on the island.
See MoreBuddha-Bar Beach (Mykonos)
Fresh, impeccable dishes are on the menu here at Buddha Bar. From handrolls to clay pot salmon, summer rolls to fresh shrimp--Buddha Bar will wow day or night. Cocktails are perfection but nothing beats the view of that marina.
See MoreMatsuhisa Mykonos
Nobu Matsuhisa opened one of his first restaurants here at the Belvedere Hotel. All open air, surrounding a pool, this intimate restaurant has a special feel. Maybe it's the outstanding Japanese food, a nice contrast to the Greek Tavernas, or maybe it is the cool tunes and the lychee mojitos.
See MoreSea Satin Market by Caprice Mykonos
Probably my favorite in town, Sea Satin is elegant, delicious and super Greek. The locals love it and the location on the water's edge, just under the illuminated windmills cannot be beat.
Don't forget to order dessert.
Tip: if you stay late enough, dancing on tables (yes the tables you ate dinner on) starts around 1am.
See MoreFokos Taverna
Notably off the trendy map, Fokos is an authentic Greek tavera serving up whole fish, grilled halloumi, feta filled salads and delicious bread.
Tip: Pack your swimsuit and hit the beach first, grab a chair and hang out till lunch time. A very fun and relaxing day can be had here.
See MoreKiki's Tavern
Agios Sostis' famed tiny taverna under a tree used to be a hidden gem but now the secret is out. It's still amazing with small plates, (lentils, spinach, meats, cheeses) and plenty of bread, olive oil and house wine by the pitcher to go around. The only problem? It's hard to get into as they have very few tables.
Tip: Go on a weekday and arrive early, put your name in and head down to the tiny beach to wait in the water.
