Arguably Kyoto's most iconic thing to see! The "Golden Pavilion" is magical. Due to its popularity, try to get here right after it opens in the morning.

This important Shinto shrine is famous for its thousands of vermilion torii gates. It can take 2-3 hours to explore all the trails and shrines here.

Take time (a whole day) to explore Gion, Kyoto's famous geisha district. The most popular area of Gion is located on Hanami-koji Street. Especially from Shijo Avenue to Kenninji Temple.

This classic sushi bar doesn't look like much, but it's one of the best and most accessible sushi restaurants in Kyoto.
This is the best place to get gyoza (Japanese dumplings) and it's open late, too!

Looking to spare no expense at a world-famous kaiseki (traditional Japanese multi-course dinner)? Go here. The dinner experience will last several hours so prep accordingly.
