Port Isaac
The Doc Martin village. Steep lanes down to a tiny harbour, looks brilliant from the coast path above. Fish and chips on the platt.

Foodie town, Rick Stein everything. Busy even in September but the harbour's lovely and I could do the ferry across to Rock.

Boscastle Harbour
Dramatic narrow inlet harbour, more rugged than pretty-pretty. Pairs with Tintagel just down the coast.

West & The Lizard

St Ives Harbour
The big one. Harbour, beaches, Tate St Ives and the galleries. Late September light here is supposed to be special, good for photos.

Tiny harbour village near Penzance, possibly the prettiest of the lot. Coffee and a pasty on the harbour wall.

Working harbour with big clock tower, waves crash over the wall when there's a swell. Decent food scene for its size.

Cadgwith Cove
Thatched fishing cove on the Lizard, still has working boats on the beach. There's a proper old inn right on the cove.

Fowey Harbour Commissioners
Estuary town with pastel houses stacked up the hill. Good food and sailing town feel, could do the ferry to Polruan.

Proper working fishing harbour, boats everywhere. Go early before the coach crowds.

Car-free village squeezed into a ravine, whitewashed cottages around the harbour. Park at the top and walk down.

Georgian harbour full of tall ships, it's the Poldark filming spot. Small but very photogenic.

Smart little sailing village on the Roseland. Castle at the end of the lane, and the ferry over from Falmouth is half the fun.
