I’ve lived in Sedona for over seven years, and I spend every single day exploring the beautiful hikes in the area. After hiking nearly every trail, these are some of my favorites.
Margs Draw Trailhead
This underrated trail doesn't get much traffic and is a good choice for a relatively quick and easy hike close to town. With dramatic red rock formations, this a real winner.
See MoreFay Canyon Trailhead
This gorgeous canyon trail is completely flat until you reach the “end of trail sign” where you’ll climb up a short way to the viewpoint.
See MoreDoe Mountain Trail
A short hike to the top of a red rock mesa that has gorgeous views in every direction. Some people walk around the perimeter of the mesa to get a 360 perspective.
See MoreCourthouse Butte Loop Trail
A flat, moderate hike around Courthouse Butte, one of Sedona’s most prominent rock formations. It’s right near Bell Rock, too. So, you can experience both on this hike!
See MoreLittle Horse Trailhead
This trail is perfect if you're looking for something flatter with epic views. Most people hike a mile or so in and then turn around because there's several viewpoints to enjoy along the way. There's great views of the "Praying Hands" formations.
See MoreWest Fork Oak Creek Trailhead
This is one of Sedona’s most unique trails as it leads you deep into a narrow canyon where you eventually are forced to hike through water.
See MoreMescal Trailhead
You'll be hiking on lots of beautiful, open slickrock that's very picturesque, especially at sunset when the rocks are glowing.
