Family Road Trip - Weekend in Alexandria, LA
We loved our trip to Alexandria for the River Fête Music Festival. It has all the charm of a small town rich with culture and some incredible Cajun food. The downtown was so cute featuring a couple of our favorite businesses Tamp & Grind and DeSoto Taco
Alexandria Zoological Park
Such a fun stop on our adventure. Our 2-year old loved exploring the Zoo and feeding the fish! They had an alligator exhibit, lions, monkeys and even a train that rode through the park!

So much history to see and experience at Kent Plantation one of the oldest homes in this area of Louisiana. We recommend the full tour where you get to step inside the plantation home and learn of the inner workings.

This coffee shop had one of the best dirty chais I’ve ever had and you have to try the homemade pistachio bread. 😍 Great stop in the morning for a quick breakfast or just a coffee!
