Bryce Point
Sunrise here was PURE MAGIC. Watching the hoodoos light up as the sun came over the horizon is something I’ll never forget. Reiterating, if you walk along the Rim trail a bit farther than the viewpoint you’ll probably have the moment all to yourself (the viewpoints get crowded)!

We connected the Peekaboo to Queens Garden to create the 6 mile, 1.2K elevation gain, Bryce Traverse. It was a beautiful trail passing through hoodoos, down into the amphitheaters and back up. We spent 2-3 hours hiking the trail and it was perfect, since we didn’t have a ton of time in the park.

The gift shop here was just OK… Go to the Visitor Center instead, but seeing the historic lodge was still super cool. It’s a popular shuttle stop, centrally located between a few viewpoints & has access to restrooms/water.

So lucky that the famous Wall Street on the Navajo Loop was open! It gets closed in the winter due to mudslides but it was back up & running during our visit in May.

So many cute souvenirs/post cards! There is a theatre in here showing a film about Bryce, as well as, an area dedicated to education about the land, wildlife, and history. Definitely worth checking out on your way in or out.

HIDDEN GEM! This one mile trail with minimal elevation gain leads you out to a mossy cave… which is very cool to see in the desert, BUT it leads to a waterfall viewpoint, too. A waterfall below the hoodoos — ARE YOU KIDDING ME! Very cool and won’t take more than an hour (it’s perfect after you leave the park).

Right along the Virgin River, RRR is the spot in town! They have delicious, well everything. I loved my samoa brownie, turkey avo blt, and latte. 10/10. The coffee is the most reasonably priced I’ve seen in ages, too, and it’s soooo delicious.

Another popular BLM camping spot, Gooseberry Mesa is home to great biking and running trails, camping, and sunset spots. It’s a great place to camp before or after visiting Zion. Since it’s BLM land, make sure to respect the landscape & folks around you, clean up, and know that there are no facilities on the premise.
