One of the coolest ways to enjoy nature on Oahu is by kayaking. I love this company because you can rent their kayaks to use anywhere on the island, or depending on where you go, they can deliver them, too.

Mokoliʻi
Mokoli'i is Oahu's famous hat-shaped island. I used to imagine a giant man sleeping under the ocean with his hat floating above the surface as a kid! You can kayak here and hike up to the top (but be very careful - it's steep), or you can simply have a picnic at Kualoa Regional Park and admire the views from a safe distance.

Koko Crater Railway Trailhead
Before hitting the beach, try out "Nature's Stairmaster" if you dare! 1,048 steps take you straight up the Koko Head Crater where you'll find epic 360-degree views to close out your 3 days on Oahu.

Sandy Beach
Conditions at Sandy Beach (aka Sandys) can be intense, especially in the summer months. On days where it's not safe to swim, this can be a beautiful place to lay out, watch the surfers, and soak up that delicious Hawaiian sunshine.

For more calm conditions year-round, Kailua Beach (and nearby Waimanalo Beach) can't be beat! This beach is very popular, so coming early in the morning or during the weekdays is recommended.
