O TREK

Campamento Seron
this is the first camp that you will stop at along the O TREK! They do sell a few goodies and meals in the Refugio. The sunrise here is amazing so definitely get up early to start hiking on day two! Note: You will need to make reservations for all campsites ahead of time, usually ~6-7 months in advance.

Dickson Lake
your second stop will be at the Dixon Refugio and as you hike up the trail, the view of the bright blue lake is amazing on a sunny day! There is a small refugio where you can hang out, cook, and purchase snacks here too!

Glacier los Perros
On the backside you will become acquainted with this beautiful glacier! It is the first glacier you'll see on the O trek.

Grey Glacier
The views of Glacier Grey from John Gardner Pass on the O Trek are jaw-dropping!

Refugio Grey
Halfway through the trek, this is a great splurge for a dinner inside or even a stay at the refugio (instead of camping). The campsites here are defintiely busier than the past ones on the O TREK. Some W trekkers hike back up to this camp to start their trek and see the beautiful glacier here!

Mirador Valle del Francés
It is definitely worth the hike to see Mirador Británico (below) & Valle Francés. Before getting all the way up to Mirador Británico, stop here for water, a photo, and some snacks. The views of the glacier are amazing and you can hear it as it cracks!

A stunning view of the interiors of the mountains that you have been hiking around. On a clear day, this view is so special!

Trip Highlight
This is Camping Paine Grande, a campsite right on the water! It has a huge lodge, restaurant, and bar area that is a great way to meet other travelers. Technically, you can also take a boat here and start the W trek from left to right here as well. There is a large refugio where you can hang out, cook, and purchase snacks here too!

Refugio Los Cuernos
One of my favorite lodges! It is so cozy in here, and I even got an aperol spritz at the bar to celebrate the nearing end of the trek!

Camping Central
The last campsite we stayed at! It is a great homebase for the Las Torres hike. Definitely not the nicest, but gets the job done. There is a small refugio where you can hang out, cook, and purchase snacks here too!

Mirador Las Torres Base
At the end/beginning of either trek, or just as a day trip, this is a must-do hike in the NP! Get up at 2 or 3 a.m. for golden views as the sun rises and begins to hit the towers. Truly magical!

Many day trippers visit this stunning lake at the base of the cordillera Patagonia. The reflections on the water are magical on a clear day.

Another popular stop for daytrippers is to this lake at the foot of Las torres! At sunset the colors are unbelievable!
