Flora Farms
Wandering the gardens at Flora Farms felt like a deep exhale, and it was amazing to take a cooking class here!! The 25-acre organic farm sits in the foothills of the Sierra de la Laguna mountains, with a restaurant, bar, spa and grocery store that all put its homegrown produce to use. Fresh air, fresh flavors, and a slower pace that I didnât want to leave.

Farm-to-table at its finest. Floraâs Field Kitchen skips beef, which is hard to raise sustainably in the desert, and pairs its homegrown vegetables with meat from the farmâs own nearby ranch. After our cooking class, we sat outside and took our time. Iâd go back in a heartbeat!

I recommend a stroll through the colorful streets of San JosĂ© del Cabo. On Thursday evenings from November through June, the Gallery District closes to traffic for Art Walk, with galleries staying open late and live music playing along the cobblestone blocks. Itâs a great low-key way to take in local art and culture at your own pace.

We popped in and out of galleries with no agenda. Keep an eye out for the bronze plaques that mark member galleries, where the work ranges from painting and sculpture to folk art, ceramics and jewelry by Mexican and international artists. Lots of inspiration and a charming setting.

Tacos are always a good idea, and this was such a fun, laid-back way to taste the town. We ate, we laughed, and we left very happy.
