The Pierpont Inn is a great hotel to stay at in Ventura. It is right across the street from the beach and is a short walk to the pier with downtown just a little further. Has great views and nice amenities with a pool.

Ventura Harbor
The Ventura Harbor is a great place to spend an afternoon. It has lots of places to walk. You can walk along the harbor and look at the boat and maybe see some sealions or you can walk along the beach. The harbor is the best place to watch the sunset as the beach faces directly at the sun in the summertime making for a great view.

Ventura Harbor Village
The Harbor Village is located inside the harbor and is where shops and restaurants are located. There are lots of giftshops and great restaurants to eat at. It is usually lively and some weekends have bands that play in the main area.

Brophy Bros.
Brophy Bros. is a local favorite. For locals who go to the harbor a lot, this is a favorite spot. They have an upstairs full sit-down restaurant with a great menu with lots of fresh seafood or they have a fast-food type restaurant downstairs that features much of the same food but with self-service. Both are great places to eat and both have a great view. If you have a dog the bottom restaurant is dog-friendly with an outside seating area.

Palermo
Palermo is a great coffee shop and gift store downtown. It's a great spot to get a coffee in the morning. It is located on the lower part of the Ventura main street.

Mission Basilica San Buenaventura 1782
The Ventura Mission is located at the end of the downtown in Ventura. It is one of the California missions that are featured along the coastal towns of California. Definitely cool to see and is part of the area's long history. One block down from Palermo making it easy to walk to.

Ventura Pier
The Ventura Pier is a great place to walk to after getting your morning coffee at Palermo. It is just three blocks down from the mainstreet and is a great place to walk during the morning or at sunset.

Surfers Point at Seaside Park
Surfers Point is located next to the Ventura Pier. This is a great spot for surfing as there is a nice pointbreak that is a local favorite spot. Not a great place for a beach day because there are lots of rocks but is a great place to walk, bike, or surf.
