Caption: This is a visual story about the beautiful Hortus Botanicus in Amsterdam. Did you know it's one of the oldest in the world? It was founded in 1638 by the mayor of Amsterdam to serve as a medical garden, to help doctors and apothecaries save the town from a new plague epidemic. These days it's a lush green oasis in the middle of the city, and with it's huge botanical collection of more than six thousand trees and plants it's definitely worth a visit, all year round.
Enjoy!

Caption: Personally, I really love to see the changing of the seasons. There's so much to admire, even in a decaying plant or flower. As long as you keep looking for pretty colours, patterns, shapes and textures, there's always something beautiful waiting for you to be discovered...
