Caption: SeeMyDoha.. ..is a SeeMyCity project sponsored by Jaidah Group aiming to put Doha, Qatar in the picture with mobile photography and social media.
Phase one of this project was in 2013/2014 and phase two will be in 2015. This week I was there for 2 days to photograph the city for the promotion. This story shows some of my favorite shots from this week's visit.

Caption: M I A - museum
of Islamic art This beautiful building was designed
by the famous architect I. M. Pei and
is one of the most iconic features
in the doha landscape.
A fun fact is that Pei was 91 years old
and long time retired when he was asked to design the museum. Pei is also known for designing the Louvre pyramid in Paris.
The museum is built on the water
and has a fantastic view of the West Bay skyline from several different
outdoor and indoor areas.

cultural village Spread over 1.000.000 m2,
the cultural village is built next to
a beach and around the amazing
Katara Amphitheater.
The theater, a contemporary
version of the Classical Greek concept combined with Islamic features,
is simply stunning.

Caption: Souq waqif Located in the heart of Doha this
traditional market is full of life,
local flavor, restaurants and shops.
It smells wonderfully of spices and
food and you can buy anything from
fabric to perfumes and even pets.
There is also the Falcon souq, where
you can see Falcons that cost more
than a high end sports car!
