Caption: Wales, UK HIKING SNOWDON
Caption: Snowdon had captured my dreams from anothers' photograph of a ❤️ shaped lake that lay along the way to the Summit. I was wanted to behold it with my own eyes.
So, one stormy morning, I started at the head of the Pig's Trail to hike up the highest mountain in Wales.

Caption: It was not ideal conditions. Nowhere near.
Lashing rain. Gusting winds as only Wales can endure. Visibility of 5 feet. Cold, so COLD!
Even before I reached a third of the way, hikers had turned back and warned off deteriorating and treachorous wet conditions.
But, I was there only for the day and nothing would keep me away from
the summit. So I resolutely marched on, holding on to the cliffs for support and shelter.
It was a sheer drop on one side and ragged stones on the other. The winds buffeted me on to the rocks often but that was better than the other side, after all! ☺️

Caption: When I finally summitted after 2.5 hours, was I glad to see the rest station barely open! They were closing early due to the conditions but I managed to get a scone with clotted cream for my effort!
Well worth it!
