Caption: in a large bowl, mix together:
10 tbsp butter, browned
3 cups ground almonds
2/3 cup honey
2 egg yolks
1 tsp vanilla essence
a pinch of salt

Caption: spoon the batter into a well-greased pan with a removable bottom and flatten to the edges with your fingers

Caption: scatter flaked almonds over the top of the torte and put it in the freezer for half an hour or so until firm

Caption: bake at 300F for 25 - 30 mins until golden brown. remove from the oven and allow to cool in the tin before transferring to a plate and topping with fresh berries to serve.
