Caption: Do you love Game of Thrones? Tamara Are you a Game of Thrones fan? If so, you have to plan a trip to Northern Ireland. Everywhere you turn you find another GOT filming site or someone who has been an extra in the show.
I am a major fantasy nerd and I have read all of George R. R. Martin’s Song of Ice and Fire books that the Game of Thrones HBO series is based on.
I have watched every episode at least three times and I am anxiously awaiting the final episodes. It was torture to be out of the country during the airing of the long awaited Season 8 Episode 3 (aka the battle of Winterfell.)
If there was anything to make up for it, it was getting to visit Castle Ward, which was used as a filming site for Winterfell in seasons 1-3. Let me show you why!
